  • October 26, 2015 7:39 pm

7 of 8 stages completed. Will finish up the last one tomorrow.

Will be doing final squad maintenance and moving folks tomorrow probably. Won’t break any squads up that don’t know about it first.

We have plenty of room for walk ups on Saturday, some spots on Sunday.

Carry Optics allowed in match!

  • October 20, 2015 12:42 pm

I’ve had some requests for recognizing Carry Optics Division and have decided to do so. I’ve updated Match Sign Up with the Division button. If you can go in and edit yourself thats great. If not, no biggie, just sort it out during onsite check in.

Squad Schedule Released

Stages Released

Registration / Check in Times Posted

Still room in the match, spread the word for me. I will work on collapsing squads as needed the first of next week. Virtual shooters meeting will be posted here later this week or first of next. We are starting build of the stages this week, they are gonna be awesome.

REMINDER: There is a 25 point bonus on a particular stage for shooting in costume!! The RO on that stage will be the final authority if you are in costume or not. For example “USPSA D class shooter” will not pass as a qualifying costume. Nor will “Baseball Player” if you are just wearing a Yankees hat. We will be very lenient but you have to make an effort.

Here we go!!!

Got the USPSA Nationals over with at our range, now I can focus on the REAL match of the year!! Expect lots of admin updates to the website and information flow this weekend. Will have staff email going out Sunday, if you’ve contacted me to work you’ll hear from me soon.

I have also received many squad requests, refund requests, division changes, etc. All will be dealt with this weekend.

Also have most all stages in concept done. Will have stages posted towards the end of next week.

Shooting in costume will carry a 25 match point bonus! Along with the normal costume contest for a gun. Match staff vote on the costume contest winner so be sure and suck up to the RO’s!

Hey….where did that wall go?!?!?

Dates will be Halloween weekend Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Staff on the 30th. Same format 8 stages shot in one day (Sat OR Sun) with round count around 400!! As we say…you do the math!!

What will the steel stage be?

Get your costume ready! There will be significant bonus point award for shooting in costume.

IT’s ON!!

Only a couple of weeks left until Son of The Monster Match.  Sign up is open atwww.matchsignup.org!

In addition to the high overall prizes, trophies for division and class winners, and gun raffle, this year we will be having a “Monster in the Middle” prize.  Whoever is in the exact middle of combined overall results, will win a gun!  DQ’s and No-shows will not count, in case of a tie (even number of shooters) winner will be the higher hit factor.

It’s Halloween so don’t forget about the costume contest, and shooting the match in costume gets you extra points on one of the stages!

See you at the Match

David Jenkins

Thanks to everyone involved in another successful The Monster Match! We had more shooters than last year. I think this year was the biggest match yet. Thank you shooters for coming out, I hope everyone enjoyed the match!

Thanks to my staff as well! Many of them have been with me for a long time. The Monster Match is the most fun match to work all year in my opinion. Sorta like a big weekend long party! I would like to especially thank the following for coming out the week prior and helping to set up. Andy, Jim, Duane, Jordan, Dave, Bruce, Dan, Terrisa, Lauren, Dan, Rick, Joel, Don, Kristen, Cassie and Mark!

Unfortunately with the World Shoot and US IPSC Nationals being later next year there will like not be a 2014 Monster Match. :( However we will be back stronger than ever in 2015! We are thinking about a bonus point structure for shooting in costume! Let me know what you think about that.

I didn’t get quite as much multi-media this year as I have in the past but with facebook, twitter, and everyone else there is plenty going around. I’m putting a few videos up today.

Results are up on USPSA, thanks again and I’ll see you at another match here at USA!!
